Woo hoo! Let’s play some soccer! Games start August 14th!

We decided to jump in and schedule our season a bit early while the Damon Garcia soccer fields were still fresh off of their long rejuvenation.
Once again there are 9 teams playing this season, so everyone will get a bye.

The season will culminate with another fun SLOWS Redemption tournament! (with a few planned improvements!) Let’s see who snags the Championship Banner away from Dynamite!

Hi SLOWS!

Due to some scheduling conflicts with Cal Poly, our game times for Sunday, April 3rd have been pushed a bit later than normal. See the below graphic for game times.

ALSO – There will be a Cal Poly baseball home game that day at 1pm, so plan accordingly!

9:00 Game:
1st v 2nd: Vultures vs Napoli, Upper Field
5th v 6th: Crush vs Real Madrid, Lower Field

10:45 Game:
3rd v 4th: Dynamite vs Atlas, Upper Field
7th v 8th: Surge vs Ice, Lower Field

12:30 Game:
9th v 10th: Sharks vs Lightning, Upper Field

Please note that rain is in the forecast for Sunday.
If your game is rained out, sadly that concludes your Fall season. Please call the rain hotline at 781-7301 if you’re unsure about your game. (You can always text or call Rachael as well).

Here are the final standings for the SLOWS Fall 2015 Season!

Hey SLOWS! The Kristiansen Classic is coming up on October 3rd and 4th. It is played at UC Santa Barbara. They are looking to fill out a few categories, and are in need of teams. Our Fearless Leader Rachael will organize a team if you are interested in playing – contact her if you are.

Here is the plea from the organizer of the Classic:

Hi Soccer Stars,

Some of you may know me from previous tournaments and playing together.  My name is Holly Angel and I am the Tournament Director for the Kristiansen Klassic.  I need your help.  I am looking for a few additional teams for the upcoming tournament.  I know that your Fall Schedule has already been posted but I’m hoping that a few of your teams may want to play in the tournament and since you are so close, I’m hoping that I can entice you to join us this year.

As you may or may not know, our tournament is a fundraiser for a variety of foundations and in the honor and memory of Ina Kristiansen who passed from Leukemia in 1992.  Going on our 23^rd year, we are proud to have added over 500 members to the National Bone Marrow Registry and donated thousands of dollars to multiple organizations.

I’m asking for your help to fill some divisions in our tournament.  I need the following:

Open Division – 18 years and over (I need at least 1 team to keep this division open)

Over 30’s – I have room for at least 2-3 teams

Coed – I need at least 1 more team to keep this division open
